Toy Story of Terror Soundtrack

If you’ve seen “Toy Story of Terror,” you know it’s not just another episode in the lives of Woody, Buzz, and the gang. This short film is Pixar’s first dive into the realm of horror (albeit, with their classic comedic touch).

And it is not just visually delightful but also a treat for the ears. From the playful to the petrifying, the tracks of “Toy Story of Terror” set the perfect tone for the toys’ eerie escapades.

The soundtrack for this short but memorable Pixar adventure was composed by composer Michael Giacchino.

Born on October 10, 1967, in Riverside Township, New Jersey, Giacchino’s foray into music began at a young age, and he’s been making waves ever since. As a kid, Giacchino developed an affinity for film scores. His interests led him to the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he studied filmmaking. But his passion for music never waned. He further pursued his musical aspirations at the Juilliard School’s Evening Division.

Michael’s professional journey began in the world of video games. He composed scores for games like “The Lost World: Jurassic Park” and the “Medal of Honor” series.

Giacchino’s big break into film came when he was approached to work on “The Incredibles” by Pixar. The 2004 film’s jazzy, distinctive score was a hit, marking the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship with Pixar. He went on to score numerous other Pixar films, including “Ratatouille,” “Up” (which won him an Academy Award for Best Original Score), “Inside Out,” and “Coco.”
